The Origins of Venomtech Limited

Incorporated in March 2010, Venomtech facilitates scientific research in the UK and globally through the provision of snake and invertebrate venom. As operations are based in the UK, we supply material safety data sheets (MSDSs) with all our products and UK researchers can benefit, in particular, from access to unique venom arrays without the need to import. Working closely with experts in exotic animal husbandry, our purpose-built housing and breeding facilities ensure we are able to maintain a diverse stock and subsequently we can supply venoms previously unavailable.

With permission from Natural England, we are also able to supply venom from UK species.

Sound animal care and welfare is of the utmost importance to Venomtech and it is extended not only to our snakes but also to all of our invertebrates; all our products come from live animals (i.e. no terminal procedures). We also run captive breeding programmes to help reduce the burden collection has on wild populations

Furthermore, we strive to improve safe working practices with dangerous snakes and invertebrates, and publish our findings for the benefit of others working with these species.
