Inspiring the Next Generation
At Venomtech we are very aware of the need to inspire the next generation of
biologists. We are ideally positioned with our unique collection of animals to use as interactive
props for enchanting school children on the natural world and its amazing creatures. Don't worry,
we don't bring any dangerous animals with us.
Talks are tailored to the needs of the school and age groups, from meet and greet
sessions at nurseries to primary school talks on how animals have adapted to their environments.
The director's experience in genetics and captive breeding provides an interesting session for
older children too.
Our custom built facilities are aimed at the safety and security of our staff
and animals. The lab is arranged into three areas - invertebrate housing,
snake housing and the venom extraction and research area.
Our experts are ready to help provide you with the complete Quantitative PCR
work flow - including critical steps for RNA preservation during sample collection
and advice on most appropriate reverse transcription protocol.
