Arthropod Venom and Tissue

Overview - >60 species of tarantula (Theraphosidae) covering 30 genera and 10 subfamilies. Also many true spiders, scorpions, centipedes and insects also available.

I. Wet venom - Collected by electrical stimulation of anaesthetised specimens. Shipped as frozen or lyophilised

II. Haemolymph sample - preserved in RNAlater, collected in RNase free conditions from anaesthetised specimens. Volume dependant on specimen size, up to 100ul (also available dried on slides). 


III. Silk - coherent threads collected directly from the spider at time of order.

We are not currently updating our species listings when the taxonomy changes as all our products are traceable back to the animal code they came from. If you have a question about the taxonomy of a particular species, please enquire.
